We are very fortunate to work in two lovely offices in two delightful towns. The Old Crab Shop located in Holt, and Bank House found in Reepham. Our local knowledge and local existence gives us an unrivalled ability and passion for our county. Very much like the towns in which they reside there is a rich history behind the two offices.
The Old Crab Shop in Holt
The Old Crab Shop opened as the new Norfolk Cottages office in April 2007. The building was bought by the Ellis family in late 2006 and has been beautifully renovated while still maintaining the brick and flint style which is typical of North Norfolk. Prior to this, the shop was owned and run by Roger Copeman as a Fishmongers specialising in crabs, hence the name The Old Crab Shop. Roger was a well-known and much loved character in Holt and many people have called in to the office to talk about him and the shop. Luckily there are still other fish shops in Holt and crabs are still sold from the front room window of a neighbouring property in Albert Street! In May 2012, we acquired the adjoining property and this is now our main office housing our Reservation and Homeowner teams. If you book a holiday cottage in Holt then do pop in and see us any time.
14 Freeman Street in Wells-next-the-Sea
We are more than delighted to now have a fabulous office in Wells-next-the-Sea. Located close to the quay and opposite the car-park, we're easy to find. What was once the town's local tourist information centre, pop in today and you'll be greeted by warm smiles, heaps of expertise and a drink if you fancy sitting down to chat about a future break or a holiday property.
Bank House in Reepham
This is where our support services team (accounts, marketing, IT and sales support) is based in the centre of the small market town of Reepham. Reepham is where Norfolk Cottages was born - back in 1991 around the kitchen table of the Ellis family who still run the business today.
