Norfolk has a number of events happening over the May Half–Term, to keep the whole family entertained. Many attractions also have extra special events for your little ones to enjoy.
Saturday 23rd May – Sunday 31st May. Banham Zoo
Enjoy a day at the zoo plus as part of BIAZA’s “Love Your Zoo week” you can find out about the discoveries and changes that have helped shape the zoo you love today!
Saturday 23rd May – Monday 25th May. Dinosaur Adventure Park
Let the kids have fun at this extreme prehistoric paradise, plus this weekend sees “Farming Fun” with a number of events to celebrate agriculture in Norfolk including special displays in the Secret Animal Garden.
Saturday 23rd May – Sunday 31st May. BeWILDerwood
Enjoy the award winning Adventure Park, plus for a May half term treat, make Whizzy Windmills flowers to decorate Minty’s delightful garden. Join them for a special story and a parade around the beautiful spring bloom woods.
Lamb feeding at Wroxham Barns
Wroxham Barns is just one of places in East Anglia where you can bottle-feed lambs, the sessions will take place every day in the main barn on Junior Farm.
Saturday 23rd May – Sunday 7th June. Norfolk & Norwich Open Studios 2015
Norfolk artists throw open their studio doors over 16 days, allowing the public to visit and enjoy the wide range of visual arts across region. This is one of the largest and most successful open studio schemes in the country.
Sunday 24th May – Monday 25th May. Dad’s Army Live
The famous "Royal Train" episode of Dad's Army was filmed at Weybourne Station just over 40 years ago. Now Corporal Jones' much loved Butchers van brings the Walmington-on-Sea stars to life again at Weybourne as the station is taken over by the Home Guard courtesy of Thetford Dad's Army Museum. Timescape will also be entertaining one and all with songs of the era.
Saturday 23rd May. An open air cinema at Holkham
“Mamma Mia” comes to Holkham as part of a weekend of open air cinema. Go along and get into the spirit of the evening with this feel-good flick! The screening will be held in the beautiful walled gardens
Sunday 24th May - Monday 25th May. Fairy Fun at Holt Hall
The Fairy Fair returns to the lovely grounds of Holt Hall, North Norfolk, with magical activities and workshops, great live music, walkabout performers, entertaining shows and storytelling
Sunday 24th May . An open air cinema at Holkham
Enjoy Top Gun which will be set against the beautiful backdrop of Holkham park - it's one not to be missed!
Thursday 28th May – Sunday 31st May. Houghton International Horse Trials
The Houghton International Horse Trials has it all; exhilarating sporting action, spectacular setting, entertainment for young and old, plus shopping at over 70 trade stands. Set in the magnificent grounds of Houghton Hall, Norfolk, this truly is one of the most outstanding venues within the sport of eventing.
Should the weather not be kind – DON’T PANIC! There's still plenty of indoor activity options to keep the little ones occupied.
