Bacton has a friendly village atmosphere with its sandy beaches stretching for miles. There is a good range of local amenities including a dog friendly pub, shop, a children's playground, a local swimming pool for hire and bowling green. A traditional fish & chip shop and the Sugar and Spice Café are nearby, the latter serving up breakfast, lunch and tea. There is plenty to discover in the area - to the north find Cromer and its iconic Pier with year-round shows, golf in Mundesley and tennis in North Walsham and to the south, find the famously striped Happisburgh lighthouse and the local seal colony at Horsey Beach; visit over the winter and you will see seal pups too. Inland, The Broads National Park with 125 miles of waterways to discover is within easy reach and the hinterland in this part of Norfolk also makes great cycling country. Culture vultures will enjoy a trip to Norwich, which is also within easy reach.
