Aylsham is an attractive, thriving and historic market town situated on the River Bure in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, yet only a few miles from the coast at Cromer. Home to the Bure Valley Steam Railway and just a couple of miles from Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall, two of the county's well known National Trust properties. Weekly auctions are held in the sale rooms, in Aylsham, and are definitely worth a visit. Marriott's Way is a super off-road cycle and walking path, which follows the old railway line on the edge of the town.

Reviews

Swift cottage was a delight. The garden was a haven for birds and bees. Enjoyed it very much. The lady of the house clearly has excellent decor skills. Lovely touches everywhere. Not too far from the town and easy to reach main highways in minutes.

Mrs Kathleen R,

Lovely clean cosy cottage in a great location with a pretty cottage garden.

Ms Jessica Y,

Mr Jonathan H,

Swift Cottage was a lovely place to stay and Aylsham proved to be the perfect base from which to explore the Norfolk countryside, coast and visitor attractions. We will be back.

Mr Paul B,

The cottage was ideal for us 2. It was a pity that the weather wasn't good enough to enjoy the lovely garden.

Mr David N,
