Oxnead is a small settlement approximately three miles south east of Aylsham, which is an attractive market town. Here you will find a good selection of small shops and the monthly farmers market attracts suppliers from all over Norfolk. Oxnead is known now for Oxnead Hall which is a sought after wedding venue and was the principle home for the Paston family. The village is well placed to tour Norfolk. The beautiful cathedral city of Norwich is only nine miles away, here you will find an abundance of shops from small independent traders to well the know high street retailer, there are also museums and theatres and an abundance of
places to eat and drink. The North Norfolk coast is also only a short drive away, the salt water marshes team with bird life, and there are sandy beaches where you can build sand castles or play in the sea. Oxnead is one of Norfolk’s hidden gems and is a great base for a holiday all year round.
Beautiful cottage in a quiet and tranquil location, just what we needed. Everything needed was provided and the standard of finishing/cleanliness was outstanding. Highly recommended and will certainly visit again.
Delightful cottage, in an attractive setting (woods & farming land). Extremely comfortable, especially the bed.
Fabulous cottage, an absolute gem.
The cottage was of a very high standard both inside and out. Very modern throughout. Large comfortable bed.
A five star gem! Beautifully appointed property which we would not hesitate to recommend. The owners were extremely helpful and welcoming.
