Located in the quiet village of Field Dalling sits this cheerful two-bedroom property. It’s the perfect tranquil retreat for a couple or friends plus two dogs wanting countryside walks and easy access to the Norfolk coastline.

Well-appointed and beautifully presented, the moment you walk in you know you are home. The Meeting House is a pretty, detached, 18th Century Norfolk cottage, traditionally built from brick and flint with a welcoming atmosphere that will draw you in.  Pass through the porch and you’ll find a living room made for relaxing, sit opposite the impressive wood burner and recline on the sumptuous velvet L-shaped sofa as it crackles.  Bright furnishings, cheerful artwork, and elegant touches add to the welcoming atmosphere stylishly decorated and brimming with colour.  In the open-plan area you can rustle up dinner in the fully equipped kitchen with its beautiful Everhot range cooker with induction hob and high-spec white goods; then tuck in at the rustic wooden, four-seater dining table with family and friends.

The ground-floor double bedroom is tastefully decorated, featuring a statement wall, antiques and art. On colder nights, light the wood burner and relax in your four-poster bed. The handy adjacent downstairs bathroom features a toilet, bath and shower. Then, when the sun comes up, head out through the French doors to a leafy outdoor space with table and chairs for al fresco dining or perhaps a romantic breakfast for two.

Inside again, climb the traditional Norfolk winder staircase (which may not be suitable for children or those less mobile) to the charming, private, king-size, en-suite bedroom with overhead beams, artwork and lamp stand. You’ll appreciate the countryside feel of the matching wooden furniture and the painted wood panelled walls. It’s the perfect cosy corner for a soothing night in where you can soak in the fabulous copper bath and let your stresses float away.

Explore the surrounding countryside on foot or by bicycle with quiet lanes straight from the door; The Blue Bell at Langham is just a 30 minute walk through beautiful unspoilt countryside.  For a day at the beach, Blakeney is under 4 miles away and Wells-next-the-Sea just 7.5 miles away, recently winning the National Fish & Chip Awards earlier this year. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the sandy beach is dog-friendly and backed by dunes that are teeming with wildlife. If birdwatching is your thing then visit Cley Marshes Visitor Centre, 5 miles away, which boasts panoramic views of surrounding marches. Alternatively, head to the pretty Georgian town of Holt (5 miles) and spend an afternoon browsing the art galleries and antique shops.

High spec, quirky, cosy, understated luxurious touches. At first glance the cottage appears lovely, but then you start to notice the high quality features which provide a level of comfort that exceeded expectation. The bedding and mattress, the Dyson fan/heater, the range, and even things such as the kitchen taps! David and John have put together aRead more beautiful bolt hole with all these modern accents that sit nicely alongside the wood burners, beams, and my favourite hidden feature of the original cattle ring on the wall of the second bedroom. We wish we had booked for longer! Hide

A truly beautiful and well equipped cottage, spotlessly clean and tidy. Situated on the edge of the village of Field Dalling, it was an excellent location with public footpaths for dog walking a very short distance from the cottage. Location is perfect only being about 15 mins from Blakeney and 10 mins from Holt.

This is a lovely cottage - the owners clearly want their guests to have a nice stay and that is evidenced by the extremely high quality fixtures and fittings. It is in a gorgeous part of Norfolk and was so peaceful and quiet, yet not far from the beach and other attractions. I would definitely stay here again - had a fab weekend!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Meeting House. It's a beautiful property with all the amenities you could need. It's set in a beautiful location and close to so many beaches and costal towns that day trips out are all within an easy distance . Highly recommended for either a quiet week away or a busy week visiting lovely Norfolk.
