Reviews

We could not have wished for a better cottage and hope to return in the future.

Mrs Margaret H,

The second time we stayed at Owl Cottage and will do so again in the future

Mr M R,

Lovely, cosy and well equipped!

Mrs Lisa A,

Property well equipped. Location good so as to visit national trust properties and the coastal beaches as well as local dog walks around Holt.

Mr Ian B,

Very well equipped home from home, Just lovely.

Mr Michael B,

Cosy cottage close to Holt and an easy walk to town. Clean and well maintained. Access to a lovely private garden ideal for summer dining with garden furniture. A must for Holt is a parking space and this cottage has its own patch and could fit 2 cars. Wood-burning stove for winter nights. Lovely part of the world.

Mrs Judy H,

Lovely cosy cottage even in the middle of November, although we did have sunshine. Stove brilliant! Very comfortable and convenient cottage. Thank you. Try a crab sandwich at The Moorings in Blakeney. If you love old churches visit St Margaret's in Cley - fabulous, full of history. Try and find the tiny white crowned sparrow immortalised in stained glass in the window! Byfords is good as usual for dinner out.

The Hinchcliffe Party,

We have had a superb week in Owl Cottage. Warm and comfortable despite the traffic noise, and we made use of the log burner on the many cold days we had. We had a lovely meal at the Kings Head, super coffee and cake at Byfords and a good fish supper from the Holt Fish Bar. Excellent local shops in Holt, especially The Tannery. Thank you for the instructions about parking by the cottage, it made getting on and off a very busy road fairly easy.

The Hawkins Party,

Owl Cottage suited us very well. You've done a great job wit the triple glazing but we were disappointed to have such heavy traffic going by However, the cottage is very comfortable and clean. Many thanks for the little extras!

The Love Party,

We have stayed in this cottage for many years - even before it was extended and became Owl Cottage. This is testament in itself as to how much we like it! Its main advantage is its location - Holt is an excellent centre from which to explore the North Norfolk coast which we love!

Mr Robert W,

Another brilliant week in Owl Cottage - just the break away from it all that we two needed. Very good weather helped of course! Have left some homemade DVDs of local interest which might be useful!

The Wallis Party,

Thank you for the lovely accommodation in this quaint town. Had a lovely week in Norfolk.

The Wagstaff Party,

Lovely hols. Cottage is so quaint, cosy and very clean. Thank you for wine etc

Very enjoyable stay, great location with easy access to many great places on the North Norfolk coast. Otto loved the beaches and Holt Country Park for morning walks. Waxham is a lovely, quiet, dog friendly beach. Thank

Previous Customer,

A delightful cottage with every possible amenity. We have had a wonderful holiday with amazing weather. We have lots more to see in North Norfolk so will definitely be back.

Previous Customer,

We have had another enjoyable and relaxing holiday. Owl Cottage is still perfect. Hope to be visiting again.

Judith and G,

We enjoyed our week at Owl Cottage - sitting in the garden was lovely. The railway at Holt is worth a visit, took the train to Sheringham, very scenic. We ate at the Feathers most evenings, good food, welcoming staff and dog friendly too! The Folly Tea Room, in Hoppers Yard, is brilliant, sat in the garden both times, staff were very friendly. Holkham beach is amazing and the park is to. Thank you for the use of your lovely cottage and also for the welcome pack.

Previous Customer,

We've had a lovely stay at Owl Cottage. Ideal location for exploring Holt and further afield. Great to be in easy walking distance of both the town and also the Country Park - great for tiring the dog out before setting off on a day trip. Lovely walks at Sheringham Park, Salthouse Marsh, a trip to Norwich, a ride on the North Norfolk Railway and a lovely boat trip on The Broads. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped and is a credit to the owners and cleaning staff. Welcome gifts very gratefully received - only one more thing would make it perfect - a pint of milk waiting in the fridge for that first cup of tea.

The Ward Family,

Over the past 40 + years, we've made it a rule to get a dose of Norfolk whenever we can but this has been the first time we've stayed in Holt rather than just visiting. Despite a few days of rather wet weather Holt has proved to be a success with only a few minutes walk into a very well serviced town centre. It also gives easy access to all our favourite locations on the coast and around Norwich. The cottage has been ideal - superbly well equipped and instantly homely. We've had a really enjoyable week and would consider a return on our next dose of Norfolk.

The L,
