A comfortable and well appointed cottage in a very good location, peaceful but well positioned. We enjoyed our stay at Simons Barn.

We absolutely loved our stay at Simons barn. Its spotlessly clean and has everything you need. Great for our dog too! Brilliant location near the stunning beach at Holkham and lovely Harper Hotel and pub nearby. We will certainly be returning for our third time!

Simons Barn is a warm, cosy and spacious accommodation for two people. The bed is exceptionally comfortable and the quality of the bed linen, towels, etc were excellent. The area is beautiful and we would certainly make a return visit.

Property clean but a little dusty in places. Kitchen equipment a bit basic i:e only one large saucepan and a small milk pan, wobbly handle on kettle lid which could difficult to open.

On arrival, the front gate was very stiff to open and we found out that the top hinge only had one screw holding it on. Therefore, it was not secure for our dog to be left just in this small area. With us both in our 80s we found this a rather daunting issue when trying to keep this heavy gate in place and opening it. On trying to enter the securitRead morey numbers to obtain the front door key we found that the key pad was not working and the key was not secure as the key was easily accessed, we therefore took the key out with us as we felt the cottage was not secure. On using the actual key to get in, we also found the door was warped and the actual key lock did not aline with the door frame. Which in turn meant we had to lift and slam heavily to try to actually secure the locking device. Tap in the kitchen sink moved, it possibly could come adrift. Lovely kitchen, but not a single cupboard to be used for food ( that doesn't need to be refridgerated. All the cupboard space was taken up with equipment. In the bathroom the towel ring next to washbasin was not secure and came off into my wife's hand . Therefore, we think that a general maintenance of the said property should be carried out , especially for security reasons. Hide

Loved this cottage. Very comfortable, cosy and quiet ( got used to 24 hour church bells very quickly.) Just a few things we felt were missing...kitchen scissors, chopping boards and tools for dealing with the log burner. The location was perfect for us. Initial information should include parking instructions, as we arrived to find guests in DavidsRead more Barn in our space. Thankfully, they were lovely people who did move once inside instructions read but it did make for awkward arrival. Overall though, think we may return to Simons Cottage. Hide

Weve enjoyed our stay @ Simons barns and would love to come back, just a couple of points that can be addressed, the dishwasher rail is broken and the upper tray kept coming off, the mattress needs changing as it dips on both sides.

Good overall. Maybe a 9am departure is a little early for some. Also some would be disturbed by the local church clock chiming loudly every 15 mins throughout the night. This can be disturbing and tiring.
