This stunning Art Deco-style property is just half a mile from quiet Overstrand Beach and 3 miles from popular Cromer. Sleeping five over three beautiful bedrooms, this wonderful property is ideal for families or groups of friends looking to stay in a bit of luxury near the superb North Norfolk coast. Spend summer evenings in the fantastic garden, sitting by the fence overlooking the sea, or curled up in the sheltered seating area on the patio with your favourite book.

The property, which lies just 60 metres from a popular pub, has a charming seaside style. The bright and airy lounge is perfect for throwing open the patio doors to the garden in the summer, but light the wood burner and snuggle up on the sofa and it becomes a cosy haven on chilly evenings. Escape for a moment to the snug that feels like a beach hut, decorated in sandy tones and the blue colours of the sea, or join everyone at the dining table for games after dinner. Take a sumptuous soak in the corner bath in the peaceful bathroom before bed. All three bedrooms have a fabulous coastal style; the super-king-size is the one to nab with huge windows offering spectacular sea views.

Venture out of sleepy Overstrand to Cromer where Amazona Zoo (3 miles) and the amusement arcades on the sea front will keep the kids occupied for hours. In the summer, Wizard Maze (5 miles) is well worth a visit with its 12-acre maize maze and large play area. Take a ride on the Poppy Line with the North Norfolk Railway through beautiful countryside, then go swimming or surfing at Sheringham Beach (both 7 miles). And for the animal lovers among you, visit the friendly horses and ponies at Redwings Horse Sanctuary (12 miles).

  • 3 bedrooms – 1 super-king bed, 1 king, 1 single bed with optional trundle bed (please request on booking - additional cost of £15)
  • 2 bathrooms – 1 en-suite shower room, 1 bathroom on the first floor with corner bath, monsoon shower and WC, 1 separate ground-floor WC

Sea Salt is a fantastic house in an incredible location. It's amazing waking up and looking out to sea every day, watching the sunrise and just minutes walk to the beach for our daily surfing. A beautiful, quiet property with the most wonderful sea views. Clean, well-equipped and comfortable, it was pretty much as described on the property listing. The Overstrand village store is just a short walk away, as is the seafront, and Norfolk coastal path. We loved the Cliff Top Cafe in the village.

The only negative feedback we could give would be a few areas that could have been a bit cleaner. We found a sock under the table with the lamps on behind the sofa. A few dead bugs on windowsills. Pulled the blinds up in the main bedroom to find a clump of hair, hadn't been swept in a while! Also found someone's medication leaflet under the kitchenRead more table. Nothing major and on the whole a lovely stay! Just for the premium price felt these things should have been noticed. Many thanks, Emma Hide

The cottage was tastefully set out, with many interesting and quirky features. Second bedroom lacked facilities and was small for two people. Overall decor, furnishings were very in keeping and the dining room/snug was more than generous. Kitchen was well equipped and crockery/cutlery in abundance. Some areas would benefit from a deep clean.

The property was pleasant with an excellent location, however the property is not maintained or cleaned to the standard expected of a 5 star gold property. I feel that the rating and pricing needs to be reviewed. On arrival various kitchen equipment was dirty, the property was generally dusty, the blinds did not function well (we were unable to Read morelower some), the kettle needed descaling, we didnt use the Nespresso machine as it was unclean, the drink dispenser/ice machine in the fridge freezer was also dirty and the rugs were dirty and stained. All in all this property did not meet our expectations of a 5 star gold property. From reading the visitors book in the property the issues have clearly been ongoing for some time and have not been addressed. Hide

The house was fantastic, in a perfect location and exactly as described. However there were ongoing issues with the TV which once we managed to get it to work, then wouldn't stay on. This was disappointing when the children wanted to relax and watch something in the evenings after a busy day on the beach. There was no airer or clothes line- essentRead moreial with Wetsuits and beach towels that need to be dried every day, not to mention after doing laundry. The contact said there should be one but we couldn't find it, and the visitor book comments suggested that people had been complaining about the lack of clothes line for quite sometime and without resolution. We know there was a tumble dryer but you can't put Wetsuits in a dryer and when it's 25 outside it goes against the grain to use an electrical appliance. Other than these issues, the house was perfect for our needs, and we were very happy with everything else. Hide
