Settle into this romantic bolthole with your other half and two four-legged friends for a fabulous seaside holiday! Located in the small village of Southgate, on the edge of the North Norfolk Coast Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, you'll be perfectly placed to enjoy the nearby countryside and coast. Enjoy relaxing evenings in the bright and elegant open-plan living area of this property with a characterful wooden beamed ceiling after a day of exploring the nearby scenic walking trails, sandy beaches and historic towns.

This spacious retreat offers an entrance hall that leads through to the open-plan lounge/kitchen diner with a high ceiling and dual-aspect windows, making this a cheerful space to relax. At the far end of the room is the contemporary galley-style kitchen with patterned tiling where the chef of your party can be kept company. Next to this is a plush velvet sofa where you can snuggle up in front of a movie or why not light a candle and dine at the table and chairs. Also on the ground floor is a handy shower room with a large walk-in shower. Climb the stairs to reach the first floor which is an open space with a fabulous super-king-size bed and a Smart TV for early nights or lazy lie-ins, plus another small sofa. Outside is a fully enclosed garden with a lawn, decked area, furniture and a BBQ.

The village itself is popular with locals and holidaymakers, offering a range of amenities including a supermarket, a chemist and a variety of places to eat from fish and chip shops to local pubs and restaurants which offer some delicious food. The award-winning Rose & Crown and The Old Bank to name but two! The neighbouring village of Heacham has a lovely farm shop at Norfolk Lavender where in summer you can enjoy the scented aroma of the lavender fields. Ornithologists are spoilt for choice with two RSPB Centres to visit close by, a little further around the coast at Cley-next-the-Sea is known as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with coastal paths and salt marshes to explore along with an abundance of birdlife and a grey seal colony.

I think the time of arrival is too late and departure time too early most places weve stayed in are 2pm arrival and 10pm departure. The cottage was spotless but it was a shame you couldnt see the beautiful gardens due to the frosted glass on the lower window pains. We had a wonderful time at The Sail Loft and it was the perfect place to explore the area, of which there is much to explore. Small, but lovely cottage. The bed was the most comfortable bed weve ever slept in. The linen was lush. Owners left lovely treats, and gifted us with some eggs on our departure. We would definitely stay again. Really enjoyed the privacy of the Sail Loft. The coffee shops were great and only 0.7 miles away.

Very cosy cottage, maintained to a high standard. Enclosed garden good for dog. Plenty of walks available without using car. Village co-op, dog friendly pubs and cafes within 15 minutes walk. We took our dog to the granary antique and caf. Lots of dog friendly beaches. Owners on site if you need anything. Would definitely come back again.

We had a fantastic week. The accommodation, parking and secure garden were excellent and we found plenty of dog walking trails in the local woodland. We also used the Sail Loft as an ideal base to cycle along the coast to Hunstanton and beyond. There were good pubs in Snettisham plus terrific fish and chips at Snettisham Beach.

A lovely cottage with a good size garden for the dogs. Very clean and cosy. Friendly owners and a great position for visiting some nice places in North Norfolk. There is a woods 5 mins walk away which was great for the dogs and Heacham beach was the best dog friendly beach nearby. Sandringham was also close by which had a lot of off lead areas for Read moredogs. Hide

The sail loft very comfortable for a small house. There was everything needed for us and the dog the special extras was very welcome . Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to explore the north Norfolk coast. Thank you to our hosts.

Absolutely loved staying at the Sail Loft. Everything you could need in a holiday home was provided, lovely touches of roses & sweet-peas put in the lounge+bedroom, also some great treats ie- lemon drizzle cake, fruit juice, crisps+milk, teabags, coffee & hot chocolate sachets.and even a box of biscuits for our dog!. Highly recommend

Beautiful property. Wonderful owner who was so welcoming but gave us privacy. Perfect property in every way. Highly recommend. There were fresh flowers, cake, milk, juice and other treats waiting for us.

Would have preferred an earlier arrival time, would also have preferred a slightly later departure time! The Sail loft is a lovely place to stay and the dogs certainly enjoyed it.

The Sail Loft was a lovely high standard accommodation. The bedroom was amazing. However downstairs living area was a bit small for us and 2 dogs. The garden was perfect and sitting on the decking was really lovely.
